Due to intense housing construction activity in District 9, a significant increase in the number of students in the Letzi School District is expected. To meet the long-term need for school space, a new 18-class school complex will be built in the immediate vicinity of the Freilager area. Around 330 pupils from the primary school and 20 pupils from the remedial school will be educated and cared for in the future Freilager school complex. A double sports hall and a school swimming pool are also planned for the school complex designed as a day school and for the entire school district. Outdoor and sports facilities must be available to clubs and the neighborhood outside school hours, becoming a meeting place for games, sports and recreation.

The main building was conceived as a container of emptiness, an interior patio that includes the primary staircase of the building, serves as a meeting place for the different students, the staircase becomes a living space and not only for temporary use, the light from above falls generously through the hole into the courtyard.

The façade plays a very important role among the three buildings, it rigorously unifies them, thanks to the modular windows and the vertical elements, the travertine material was selected in order to give a warm aspect to the three buildings.
