Cultural proposal for a new museum dedicated to the Zapotec culture in Oaxaca.

Evoking the pyramids of Monte Alban, with a terracotta accent that contrasts with the local vegetation, inside scenic games of incident natural zenithal light, thanks to skylights and openings, allow optimal exposure of the museum pieces. A main nave is articulated in plan extending into other additional exhibition spaces.

Parametric design tools were added considering vernacular construction techniques and materials. Creating an eclectic architectural language that contradicts and merges unitarily between advanced digital tools and artisan execution qualities.
